“It takes a Village”.
Our story
It all started when I was pregnant, I realized how much of a toll the mental load was taking on me, and baby wasn’t even here yet! I tried to plan and prepare everything I could before the baby came and as much as I tried I still couldn’t keep up.
As a full time working mom, caring for a newborn, two large dogs, and a entire household with a husband who has a very busy and unpredictable career, I found myself drowning in the mental load of it all. I was surrounded by women who were in the same phase of life and felt like I couldn’t ask them for help. They were just as busy, if not busier than I was with their own little ones and with no immediate family in the area I was at a loss.
That is when I found myself wishing there was a service, someone I could hire to delegate to, to take things off my plate and lessen the mental load. Someone to give me more time with my family, to give me the opportunity to be more present. I searched and searched and found no such service available, at least not that fit what I needed.
Why not me? I’ve always had a desire to help people but I wanted to come up with something to make a difference, to make it available so that if someone found themselves in the trenches of Motherhood, struggling the way I did, that there was something or someone out there to help.
For the Moms,
With every mom I talked to, I found that no matter if they were a SAHM, were working full time, or anywhere in between, everyones support looked different, everyone’s children were different, everyone’s mental capacity was different, and every mom had days where they needed an extra hand.
I wanted to create this for the moms. No matter what stage you are in. You deserve a hand, you deserve help, you deserve a village.
